Practices & Explorations Beyond Advisory Work

A Small Boat of a Literary Creator

2012 – present

My literary work under the name Muyu laid the foundation for how I think and make sense of the world. Published works include Muyu Manuscripts (2012), Muyu Manuscripts: Poetry in Life (2015), Muyu Manuscripts: Poetry in Normal (2018), and Muyu Manuscripts: Poetry in Playfulness (2021), as well as the edited commentary collection Tea Observations and Talks (2012).

Writing, for me, is not just expression—it is a way of thinking. The ability to translate subtle, ambiguous experience into language later became central to my advisory and facilitation work.

Ongoing writing projects include:

Walking and Writing as a Social Science Researcher

2015 – present

My journey into education began through social movements and gradually evolved into a blend of research, teaching, and applied practice. I have conducted cross-national education research in the UK, Sweden, and Finland; presented at academic conferences in Singapore, Japan, and Taiwan; and engaged in teaching and practicum work across Singapore, the UK, Indonesia, and Japan.

I also contributed as an editor to NTNU and Taiwanese Education (2016) and Diagnosing Major Educational Issues in Taiwan (2017). These experiences shaped my view of education as a living social system—deeply embedded in culture, policy, and history.

Connecting the World Through Education Design

2018 – present

Founding MOI Education and served as Founder and Chief Education Designer, I developed and applied Education Design methodologies across sectors. Partners included government agencies, universities, secondary schools, publishing groups, international design brands, and over twenty startup teams.

I also organized large-scale learning design forums and maintained long-term collaboration networks with partners in Finland, Sweden, Singapore, Japan, and the United States. This phase marked my shift from designing learning experiences to designing systems—laying the groundwork for my organizational advisory work.

Carrying Psychology and Education Across Fields

2021 – present

After transitioning into independent advisory work, I began collaborating with organizations across industries including e-commerce, gaming, travel, media, circular economy initiatives, performing arts studios, fintech groups, international education institutions, and public-sector organizations.

My work spans organizational development, HR strategy, learning systems, experience design, and project-based advisory. These cross-context experiences form the basis of my current practice as a People & Organizational Systems Advisor.

The Optimistic Possiblism Relay Initiative

2013 – present

A long-term, evolving initiative designed to pass on entrepreneurial mindset and professional wisdom across generations. From cross-regional mentorship programs Graffito Cultivation (2013–2019), to entrepreneur succession initiatives (since 2020), and the launch of the Trailblazers in 2024, this initiative continues to cultivate networks of support and shared learning.

This project represents the most concrete expression of Optimistic Possiblism—the belief that expanding people's capacity to engage with uncertainty matters more than predicting outcomes.

A Traveling Bard with Herodotus

2015 – present

Inspired by Travels with Herodotus, the belief that "crossing the boundaries of one's experience opens the world" has become part of my DNA. I see travel as a vital way to expand perspective and deepen understanding.

Having visited nearly one hundred cities across Europe, Asia, and the Americas, I frequently return to Kyoto and historic Japanese cities, while also drawn to Budapest's river-bound character and the sunlight of Barcelona and Madrid. More recently, my travels have taken on a physical dimension—from Machu Picchu and the Matterhorn to Mount Tai, Mount Hua, and soon the Kumano Kodo.

These journeys continue to inform how I understand culture, systems, and human experience.
